Last updated October 13, 2026

The short version: this website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking. We collect personal information only when you choose to send it to us.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Yesteryear Ventures, Inc. (“Yesteryear,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the website at yesteryear.ventures (the “Site”). Yesteryear is based in San Diego, California.

2. Information we collect

Information you send us

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address, company, and the contents of your message and any attachments. We use this information to respond to you, to evaluate potential investments or engagements, and to maintain a record of our correspondence.

Information collected automatically

The Site is a set of static files served by GitHub Pages. We do not set cookies and do not run analytics or tracking scripts. All fonts, images, scripts, and stylesheets are served from this domain; the Site makes no requests to third-party servers when you load a page. Like most hosting providers, GitHub may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) in order to operate the service. We do not have access to analytics derived from those logs. GitHub's handling of that information is described in GitHub's privacy statement.

3. How we use information

We use information you send us to communicate with you, to consider the matter you wrote to us about, to meet legal obligations, and to protect our rights. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. How we share information

We may share information you send us with service providers who help us operate (for example, our email provider), with professional advisers, or as required by law. If you introduce your company to us, we may share your materials with co-investors or advisers we consult as part of evaluating it, unless you ask us not to. We may also share information in connection with a reorganization, merger, or sale of our business.

5. Retention

We keep correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including maintaining a record of companies and people we have spoken with, and as required by law.

6. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information you have sent us by emailing hello@yesteryear.ventures. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act. We will honor requests as required by law and may need to verify your identity before responding. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

7. Third-party sites

The Site links to third-party websites, including portfolio companies and social networks. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies.

8. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect information you send us, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
